A Citizen at #ogwbc

So, feeling really out of my element here today. Looked at list of attendees and I’m one of very few (less than 10) ppl in the room who are NOT civil servants, policy wonks, ex-civil servants or consultants.

What do I bring to this discussion? I’ve been involved in community building all my adult life and very actively since 1995. Since 2009 my focus has been the bridging of online and offline communities to effect positive social change.  I’m excited for the connections made today!

I’m really glad you’re here. As a Public Servant, I try to never forget that I’m a citizen too. You’re a vital part of this team!

You’re not the only one! I’m a student and a community activist :)

I agree with Bowen. We are all citizens and your participation is critical. Make sure you introduce yourself.
